Blue Moon

A wintry donut of a day,
Glazed over with greyness, and frosty high-caloric-ness
My thighs are thermal, but my buttocks blue.

Sunny Side Ups

Fork tines poke holes
In perfectly encircled spheres
Releasing waves
Of liquid yellow sighs

Brunch at Betty Driscoll's

Wasn't she a lovely hostess?
Serving scores of petite-fours
As assorted snacks on platters,
Silver-plated place-mats and her
Smile a complimenting ambiance…

Despair Is A Hairy Marauder

Despair is a hairy marauder
Who robs from the happiest lot
Abstracting their glee
Immaculately
Perfecting his pick-pocket plot

The Artistry of Darkness

Impressionistic sable slate
Strewn with pewter, pearls and grace
Obscured by mist, at any rate,
It paints a pretty picture.
