As I look at the painting
My feelings do change
Sometimes upset, or very happy
Sometimes...how strange!
You see, it's my painting
Hung there on the wall
It's never the same, for
Each brush stroke I call.
The colours too, I choose
A pallette of inner states
Dark anger, light serenity
Gentle blue, black hate.
Every small thing I do
Adds to the scene
Making it beauteous or ugly
With kind acts or mean.
So when I look at the painting
How can I complain?
It is my creation
To make again and again.

Sappire cobalt azure
Blues breathing through sighing branches.
Crispness renews fragrant magic.
Crocus conducting,
Awakening...
How tragic when the egg does fall,
Exposing feeble wings not to soar.
Yellow marble,
Shrinking into thirsty moss.
Oaken scrollings respond
To my curious tracings.
I feel its skin,
Wondering what breathing wood does conceal.
How it lives a hundred years...
How it sustains the earth,
Gripping deeply within its shell.

Wishes are the things
at the tip of your fingers,
the intangible feeling
on the nape of your neck,
the chill that runs
down your spine,
and the heaviness
always constant in your chest.
Wishes are the things
that make you feel
a thousand sorrows at once,
pounding into your mind,
pushing on your shoulders
as though there were
a hundred weighted stones
making your very soul chained down.
Wishes are the things
that make your cheeks
flush a scarlet red at the
thought of them,
knowing that, though
you may never get them,
you'll always have the joy
and resolution of the wish.

Sometimes there are things we can not explain
Things that cause the heart so much pain
It is these things which are left unsaid
these things which are left unread
When we think about the memories stuck in the pages of time
we are left wondering what we gained from life's little rhyme
I hope you had the time of you life
No matter what can be said
I hope you had the time of your life
In the end I say you always did
My memories come back like a tape moving slow
Your face is emprinted, it will never go
Tears come down like a cold november rain
No matter what I say, these things still remain
I can hear your voice ring deep whithin
I can call back to it, but will it ever end
I hope you had the time of you life
No matter what can be said
I hope you had the time of your life
In the end I say you always did
Your smell lingers deep within my nose
You are gone, yet so close
I wake up in the middle of the night
coverd in a sweat that is not quiet right
One brought on by the thought of you
In my dreams a vision, oh so few
I hope you had the time of you life
I wish you could have covered the pages, so many left white
I hope you had the time of your life
A feeling so wrong, it can only be right
Our lifes are nothing more than a grain of sand
No one knowing what God hold in his hand
But no matter what it's worth..It's always worth while
Even if you can't prdict where they turn the dial
I wish you were here, wish I could do it again
One more moment to to look back, to begin
I hope you had the time of you life
No matter what can be said
I hope you had the time of your life
In the end I hope you did
The time goes by slow, it never seems to go
I still see the first chance, was it so long ago
If you ask the simple question of why
when you have the answer, your always be denied
Can this life be expained, can the lesson be learned
Only the one who ask, is the one who will know
I hope you had the time of you life
taking with you a heart so kind
I hope you had the time of your life
If only you left mine behind
I hope you had the time of your life
No matter what's said
I hope you had the time of your life
I can only think you did
