A few years ago, I interviewed Suze Orman, the country's foremost woman-whiz of moolah management. Suze shared about how anger repels wealth. "If there is anger within your soul," says Suze, "you are repelling money whether you know it or not."
She experienced this principal first-hand while stuck in a traffic jam. From her limo, she noticed a man perched on a piece of cardboard asking passersby for cigarettes. Everyone ignored him. Suze decided to give him all the money in her purse -- which totaled seventy dollars -- and really make his day.
However, just as she was about to exit the limo, he spat at the next couple who walked by. So she sat back down in her seat and closed her purse. Says Suze, "This man didn't know I was in the car watching him. He did not know that seventy dollars was about to come his way. But as soon as I saw him spit, I told my driver to drive on. I did not get out of the car, and I did not give him the seventy dollars. His anger repelled the money that was about to come his way, and he didn't even know it…"
The moral? Don't spit at people.
Here are some more "Crappy to Happy" money suggestions:
KISS YOUR TAX RETURN BEFORE YOU MAIL IT!
Every contact is an opportunity to put more love into the world. Each time you put love into the world, you'll attract more goodness to yourself. Draw a smiley face or write a kind word on the outside of the envelope. Remember that the people who work for the IRS are almost human, too!
IF YOU'VE GOT MONEY FEARS, SPEND A DAY AT THE BEACH
To change fear thoughts about your money, go to the ocean and surround yourself with "the ocean of abundance." Also, instead of saying, "I'm almost broke," proudly state, "I'm in the phase before I make my first million."
LOOK FOR EVIDENCE OF ABUNDANCE
Give your attention to the abundance you already have, regardless of what your bank balance shows. As we keep collecting evidence of abundance in any wonderful way it appears in our lives, fear thoughts leave and abundance multiplies.
ABUNDANCE BEGINS IN YOUR UNDERWEAR DRAWER
One way to affirm abundance is to buy yourself all the socks and underwear you need. Any opportunity to replace lack with abundance in one aspect of your life sets the intention that you're open to receive greater abundance in all aspects of your life.
TRUST IN THE MAGIC OF THE UNIVERSE
If you want something, do not limit the form of how you expect to get it. A costumed man called the "King of Imagination" strolls through fairs granting wishes. He says, "Don't ask for money. Ask for what you would do with the money because that will give the Universe more options in helping you create it."
