Beautiful Within

Intricately filigreed

Physiology

Jasmine, jasper, alabaster,

Lavender, cerise

Chartreuse, orchid, dodger blue,

Subdued sanguine ribboned thin

Thistle, bisque and honeydew

Beautiful within.

Change of Season

The wind worn leaves ornament late autumn's floor

In peaceful respite, restfully, until

Old man winter kicks ajar his door

Rasping Sand at Sea

Rasping sand at sea

Blanketing the beached marine

Life, with gritty sheets

Scratchy saline gabardine

Tucked in seashells sweetly dream

Diminutive Significance

I am the moss

on the trunk

of a butternut

Velvet green

and fecund

Beautifully

blanketing bark

Noticing This Room Where People Cook

Slurping purple soda

through a circus straw

elbows on a maple tabletop

china bowl is holding

apples mama got

from the grocer

at the corner store

linoleum is glowing

due to broom and mop

kitchen windows

have a film of sorts

slurping purple soda

through a circus straw

noticing this room where people cook
