I'm stilling contemplating a sabbatical, but not yet taking it. My sister has volunteered to set up the files in html and that has taken a substantial burden off my shoulders. Instead of spending nights and a couple of days with bleared eyes, it takes about a day to review all the files and choose the backgrounds and colors.
A brief history:
Seven years staying month after month on the net is not a poor accomplishment. In the first year, Denise worked hard to have enough writing in each issue, sometimes writing pieces under different pen-names and personae to create at least the illusion of a variety of authors. And it worked, as more writers showed up and she became just herself as editor. Her partner Michael Marzilli developed the simple and clear directory format and kept the files in order on the server, along with helping to get the files into html and uploaded.
David Langer's Blind Crow's Journal began in the first issue and continued until June 1999, and Brandon DeGeorge's Philosophy of Music began in the first issue and two years later became Jack's Beanstalk, continuing until February 1999. Novareinna's first tale was in September 1995; Harry Buschman's fictional short stories began in June 1997; Susan Kramer's column began in October 1997; I began in May 1997.
In April 1998, she passed the editorship to me, after I had written SkyEarth letters for a year, and in April 1999, she passed on the management of the whole website. That was a busy month of securing server space and learning how to do some basic html and learning about ftp, which I accomplished with a great deal of help from my son, David Langer.

Seeker Magazine exists because there are many writers out there, many established and many new, who enjoy the web magazines and keep sending in material. I thank them mightily for all their efforts, their energy, and their support.
Blessings on you all,
Cherie
